German longhaired pointer (GLP) is a breed of dog. It was developed in Germany, and is used as a gundog.

GLP should be muscular, elegant and sporty. It should not be bulky or heavy, and should be able to move with great speed and freedom. It has moderate bone, but has substance, and must never look frail or weak.

Your appearance should reflect its excitable temperament, crazy. Like all German pointers, they have webbed feet. Beware aggression in puppy years.

Health Problems: Usually a healthy breed but some are prone to epilepsy, hip dysplasia, hermaphrodism and lymphedema. Some minor concerns are CHD, entropion, gastric torsion, VWD, pannus, OCD. Prone to mast cell tumors.
